Released!!
Jun 29th, 2009 by max
I am delighted to announce that I am home again!
Despite being booked into prison till tomorrow morning, the humans were back from their holiday in Malta and Gozo at lunch time today (after a very early start getting up at 2.15 am BST so they are looking pretty tired now), and got their priorities right and collected me a day early! (and Monty cat too, I should say) Hilary came to get us about 3pm and paid the extortionate bail fee and we were free!
They have had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed some rest and relaxation, exploring the stunning Maltese islands, the hot sunny weather (used lots of suncream, sat in the shade and had no sunburn at all!) and lots of delicious meals out! Hilary has of course unpacked and done several loads of washing, and been busy sorting things out, Tim opened his case to remove the bottles of local CISK lager he had taken home with him, and the rest of his suitcase is still on their bed waiting to be sorted!
I have had a good brush down, eaten my food, the cat’s food, run around everywhere, lay on the human bed (bliss after the prison floor) and have also been on a short walk to my park with Tim. I gather proper forest walks resume tomorrow!
Incidently, while I was incarcerated last week it was my blogging anniversary! On 20th June I have been blogging regularly for three years! Not bad for a dog!

3 years of blogging - that’s really something! Welcome home Max, I’ve missed you. Glad your humans enjoyed their holidays.
Welcome back, Max. We have missed you. We are glad that it was not too bad and that your humans had a good holiday.
Congratulations on three years blogging! I am only sorry that Henry is not still here to enjoy it. However it looks as if we may get another feline friend in the autumn. I am coming to the end of my treatment so will not have to worry so much about infections. We are hoping to have a holiday in September so when we get back we will look for another furry friend who needs a good home.
Also we are over run with mice since Henry left us and as one of us pointed out to the other there is nothing that is really effective against mice except something which comes on four legs, has fur ands says miaow. It is now accepted that this is a fact as all other methods have failed.
That is good news all round Henry’s humans. I am pleased that you are doing well with your treatment and hope you are much better very soon. I think getting a cat is a good idea. The mice will soon move out. Hilary told me they had a mouse in their holiday home in Gozo. Tim saw it go in through the open back door and it was sighted in the kitchen several times! (at least they think it was the same mouse!) She wished they had a cat there too!
You could always have Monty I suppose, though it might upset Hilary. I would recomend him as a proven mouse catcher!
Welcome home, Max, we have missed you too. Maggie is off to Wales next week so we will be house-sat and have the company of Dougal. This means lots of extra treats for us! And three years? How impressive is that!
